The new truck has gone a few calls but was finally able to be put to the test Monday afternoon for a mutual aid field fire. In high wind on corn fields, and hay fields it performed incredibly! There were three other “brush trucks” out there that afternoon and our new truck ran circles around them in its capabilities. Then when they got to some burning trees laying down, the turret popped on, used a little foam and put them right out. There were three other very impressed departments out there that day! Also had it in a parade last weekend and their first responders love our truck. They were all over it and taking pictures. They loved the space along with the firefighting capability and said it would make a perfect first attack, first responder truck for them.

"We had never heard of CustomFIRE before members of our truck committee went to the Baltimore Fire Expo last year. Impressed with the pumper on display, we sat down to talk to Jim Kirvida the owner of CustomFIRE to learn about his company and decided we would like CustomFIRE to bid on Nesconset Fire Department's heavy rescue project. CustomFIRE came in as the low bid meeting all of the spec requirements and still unsure of exactly what CustomFIRE was about, we sent committee members and mechanics to Fire Departments in the area who already owned a truck from them. After hearing nothing but praise and seeing how well the rigs were holding up after years of service, we awarded the contract to CustomFIRE and couldn't be happier about our decision. From the start of the build process, the customer service was second to none. The continuous phone calls and photos from the project coordinator kept us up to date on everything being done in between inspection trips. When we needed to make small changes to the truck, we never heard "no". It was all custom built for our Department, and the attention to detail was most impressive. This Rescue has exceeded all expectations that we had for the truck. We would highly recommend CustomFIRE to any Fire Department looking for a quality rig that is built for them and built to last."
