"We had never heard of CustomFIRE before members of our truck committee went to the Baltimore Fire Expo last year. Impressed with the pumper on display, we sat down to talk to Jim Kirvida the owner of CustomFIRE to learn about his company and decided we would like CustomFIRE to bid on Nesconset Fire Department's heavy rescue project. CustomFIRE came in as the low bid meeting all of the spec requirements and still unsure of exactly what CustomFIRE was about, we sent committee members and mechanics to Fire Departments in the area who already owned a truck from them. After hearing nothing but praise and seeing how well the rigs were holding up after years of service, we awarded the contract to CustomFIRE and couldn't be happier about our decision. From the start of the build process, the customer service was second to none. The continuous phone calls and photos from the project coordinator kept us up to date on everything being done in between inspection trips. When we needed to make small changes to the truck, we never heard "no". It was all custom built for our Department, and the attention to detail was most impressive.
